Hi, can you take Venlafaxine and Tetracycline together??

Tetracycline and Effexor (venlafaxine) do not have any interactions and may be taken together if indicated.
Effexor (Venlafaxine)
Effexor (venlafaxine) is a dual acting antidepressant as it inhibits both serotonin and norepinephrine re-uptake. It is used to treat a wide variety of conditions including:
- Depression
- Anxiety
Venlafaxine should be taken with food to reduce gastrointestinal side effects. Both the extended release capsules and tablets should be taken whole with food and not split, crushed, or chewed. Potential side effects commonly associated with taking venlafaxine include but are not limited to:
- Constipation
- Drowsiness
- Weight loss
- Insomnia
- Nausea
- Headache
- Diarrhea
- Blurred vision
Tetracycline
Tetracycline is an antibiotic that is available in both oral and topical formulations for prescription use. It is indicated for treatment of a wide variety of bacterial infections including:
- Respiratory tract infections
- Acne
- Chlamydia
- H. pylori
- Syphilis
- Urinary tract infection
The oral formulations of tetracycline should be taken with a full glass of water at least one hour before or two hours after food/milk as food/milk can inhibit the absorption of tetracycline.
In addition to food, taking tetracycline with vitamins or supplements containing metals (iron, zinc) can also decrease absorption. Common side effects associated with taking tetracycline include but are not limited to:
- Photosensitivity
- Headache
- Blurred vision
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Tooth discoloration
