Tori asked
Will drinking sulferzyme affect my depo shot? I didn't know if it could cancel it out or make it not work
Answer
Sulfurzyme contains the following ingredients:
- MSM (methylsulfonylmethane)
- Ningxia wolfberry (Goji berry)
There are no reported or documented interactions with Depo-Provera (medroxyprogesterone) and Sulfurzyme. They are unlikely to interfere with absorption of one another as Depo-Provera is administered parentally (i.e via injection) and Sulfurzyme is given orally.
In addition, neither ingredient in Sulfurzyme has reported effects on reproductive hormones (such as estrogen or progesterone) in the body.
Interestingly enough, goji fruit has been used in Chinese medicine to treat infertility, according to sources, by protecting the integrity of sperm via multiple mechanisms. Nevertheless, it doesn't appear to alter hormone levels and shouldn't change the contraceptive efficacy of Depo-Provera.
