Can you cut a Klonopin ODT in half?

Yes, Klonopin (clonazepam) ODT tablets/wafers can safely be cut or split in half. Ideally, you should only split the tablets with a pill cutter and not your hands. Any moisture the tablet is exposed to will make it dissolve rapidly. If you so split Klonopin ODT, be sure to keep the unused half in a moisture resistant container and take it for your next dose.
Below are administration instructions for Klonopin ODT:
- Open the pouch by peeling back the foil on the blister pack. Do not push the tablet through the foil as this may cause breakage.
- Using dry hands, immediately remove the tablet and place in mouth (or cut with pill cutter if necessary).
- Tablet disintegration occurs rapidly and it can be swallowed with or without water.
