Can Tylenol Arthritis be taken with methyIPREDNIsolone?

Answer

Yes, the combination of Tylenol (acetaminophen) and Medrol (methylprednisolone) may be taken together. There is no drug interaction between the two.

Tylenol Arthritis is simply Tylenol (acetaminophen) at a higher dose. Each tablet of Tylenol Arthritis contains 650 mg of acetaminophen so there is no concern regarding using Tylenol Arthritis with Medrol (methylprednisolone) either.

In terms of over the counter analgesics to avoid, there is a moderate interaction between Medrol (methylprednisolone) and Advil (ibuprofen). Although many people are put on the combination of the two for certain indications, prolonged use should be avoided. The combination can increase the risk of certain GI problems such as nausea and ulcers.
