I take a calcium supplement (Citracal). Is it safe to take Benadryl with it? I know calcium can interact with a lot of different medications.

There is no drug interaction between Benadryl and Citracal. They are safe to take together.
Benadryl
Benadryl is the brand name for diphenhydramine, a first-generation antihistamine. Benadryl can be used for different reasons but most commonly it is used for seasonal allergies or allergic reactions. Some people take Benadryl to help them sleep, to relieve motion sickness, or to treat symptoms associated with the common cold.
Because it is a “first-generation” antihistamine, this means it is one of the earlier drugs developed in this category of medications. First-generation antihistamines are noted for their sedative effects and short duration of action (~4-6 hours per dose).
Citracal
Citracal is the brand name for a calcium supplement that contains calcium in a form that is easier for your stomach to absorb compared to other supplemental calcium.
Citracal (available generically as calcium citrate) is available over the counter that and contains 21% elemental calcium. The recommended daily allowance (RDA) of calcium differs depending on age, sex, and other health conditions. While most of your daily calcium intake should come from dietary sources (i.e., milk, cheese, etc.), calcium supplements are available for when dietary intake is inadequate.
Calcium can interact with other medications by reducing their absorption. However, it does not have this effect on Benadryl.
