Confused And Curious asked
I found a package (where you push the tablets out) of Adderall. It’s white I’ve never seen white Adderall before or packaged like this. Is it a sample? Is it fake?
Answer
Adderall (mixed amphetamine salts) doesn't come directly from the manufacturer in a blister pack, but may be re-packaged that way by a pharmacy or institution (e.g. a hospital). Repackaging of medications is very common and is sometimes referred to as 'unit dose packaging'. It is used for a variety of situations, including:
- In the elderly or for a caretaker, to assist with pill administration.
- To protect medication from humidity and moisture.
- To assist with medication storage.
- To improve adherence (e.g. with birth control pills).
To accurately identify a specific medication, you can contact your local pharmacy or visit a website that has a "Pill ID" tool. Simply input the tablet imprints and the tool should be able to identify your product.
If you want to submit another question with the tablet imprints, we can help as well.
For what it's worth, there are a variety of generic Adderall tablets with a white/beige/tan coloring to them.
